Film-poster analysis
- Has the two main characters as the main focus of the poster.
- Simple use of images.
- Simple but effective font.
- The characters have got a white glow around them which makes it almost angelic and holy.
- Quite light colours to make it seem happy.
- The image shows a very loved up.
- The title is in capital writing to make it stand out and be the second main focus point.
- This poster shows two different images
- One of the main character and one him and his brother.
- really light and bright colours.
- Slogan "Life is for living".
- Main character is the main focus of the poster as he is the first thing you see on the poster.
- Shows that he could be thinking of what could of been in the top picture as its two younger boys in the bottom picture.
- Two people about to kiss as the main focus of the poster as they are the first thing you see.
- the lighting is quite dark around them but light on their clothes and around their faces.
- Quite a simple image but says a lot about the way the couple feel about each other.
- The title of the film is quite small but is noticeable and the second thing you notice on the poster.
- Shows a very intimate picture which instantly suggests that it is a romance film.
Proposal for Graphics Project
Format and medium
An A4 print movie poster that will be high
resolution as it can be then scaled up to go on to movie poster website and on
the sides of buses, billboards etc. This will also be used as a DVD sleeve,
which will be 10.75-inch width and 7.2 inch height.
Sector
These
materials will be used for marketing a film on magazines, DVD sleeves on the
point of sale. These will be experienced in print form or adverts.
Working title
This will be my title Long Lost Love. I have chose
this for a title because it explains the film and because it is alliteration it
will stick in to the audiences head as it’s easy to remember and its quick.
Genre
This will be a romance film because I think it will be a good idea to use as not that many people will be doing it and it you can make a very creative poster and DVD sleeve from it.
Intended audience and age
My attended audience for this is 13+ year old
females as it romance films fit in to that demographic as it about love and
romance which is stereotypically made fro females.
Summary of content
The film will be about two people who fell in
love as children and then one moved away, 20 years later they fall in love again
but the is married with children and has to pick who she wants to be
with. But who will she pick? carry on the happy family life that she's had for over 10 years or will she go to her one true love?
Summary of style
The summary style of my film poster and DVD sleeve is that they will follow all the typical stereotypes that you can see in a romance film, such things as bright lighting to make the two people that are in the middl of the poster are the centre of it and that it's all about them, it will also show girlish fonts and two people in it so it will follow romance stereotypes.
Legal and ethical considerations
- · BBFC age restriction- 13 years old, as it will have some things thats may only be appropriate for that type of audience. I will have to take this in to consideration as it is very important.
- · Copyright- All the things I have done are all my own and I will give credit to and will write down where they have come from.
- · ASA code- It will also follow all the legal stuff on the ASA codes.
